Thank you to author Sean Covel for an amazing Family Literacy Event! Thank you to all the families who attended, and also to the staff members who assisted in making the arrangements and setting up/cleaning up today!

Reminders.... Thursday PT Conferences will begin at 4:00 at the elementary school. All elementary students should have a scheduled time and grades 7-12 will be the elementary gymnasium. Saturday from 6-10 pm we will be hosting a backyard game night for grades 7-12. If you have corn hole boards and bags, ladder golf, etc... we can use please send them with your child. Also, we will have some classrooms available for video games. Gaming systems will also have to brought by students. Food and beverages will be provided along with smores to be made by students. The purpose of this night will be to provide students with an opportunity to do constructive activities during the weekend. Please encourage your children to come, as it should be a great time. Please share!!!

Parents of Grades 7-12 Students.... We will be hosting a backyard game night at the school on March 7 from 6-10 pm... mark your calendars. Students can play cornhole, ladder golf, etc... Also, some classrooms will be set up for video games. Food and drinks will be provided. It should be a great night of fun. We hope to see you all there.

Received our 2nd place trophy for the NSBC competition. So proud of these students and Mrs Hirsch. Great job!!

Bryan Skavna, Be the Nice Kid, presented to our elementary students sharing stories on how to be kind to others. He will spend the remainder of his day in both schools spreading his message. Thank you to Kenzie Fuller for coordinating this great message for our students.

Next Friday, Garrison will host the District 10 Boys' Tournament. Let's show our Trooper Pride and cheer on our boys!

Great day with a. Great group of kids at the Region 1 Acalympics. I enjoy watching kids compete over academics. Our 6 students competed all day. We finished tied for second in the large group schools after the Preliminary Rounds. We finished 2nd overall in the final rounds. Spelling Galileo wrong cost us a 1 point deduction. Thanks for the great day and representing GHS so well!!

Pep Bus Permission Slip to attend the Troopers vs. Flasher game in Mandan on Monday, February 24 at 1:30 pm. We need at least 20 students to attend for the bus to go. Please consider sending your student in grades 7-12 on the bus. Due Friday at noon!

Something Porter This Way Comes! Family Engagement Night March 3 6-8 PM!

We received another $1,000 grant written by Dr. Klemisch from the ND Wildlife Federation for our trap club. To date, he has written and our club has received approximately $13,000 grants from the ND Wildlife Federation. Thank you for your continued support!

Reminder GBB game tomorrow at 4:00. There will be no pep bus because no one signed up. Hope everyone is able to make it out to Washburn to cheer on our Trooper Girls.

On Wednesday Junior High students competed at the McLean County Math Counts competition. Here are the results: Gavin Ruud — 3rd (State Qualifying) Kadin Kolden — 7th Mara Krzmarzick — 9th Evan Rensch — 11th Hannah Myers — 15th Justis Klabunde — 15th The team placed 2nd and it consisted of Mara Krzmarzick, Evan Rensch, Kadin Kolden, and Matthew Joachim. Awesome job mathletes!!

I am willing to drive a pep bus to the GBB District game on Sat. This is a regional qualifier and our girls need our support. Please sign up in the main office and grab a permission slip. We will leave at 3:10 and plan to return after our game. Game time is 4:00. Thanks Mr Dangel
