ABOUT THE PRINCIPAL

Time flies when you’re having fun! I have a daughter named Mackenzie, a son named AJ, a husband named Aaron, and a black lab named Bailey. I am originally from Pierre, South Dakota. I have been the principal of Bob Callies Elementary School since 2003!

I attended college at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education. I taught a first/second grade combination in California for 1 year, then a first/second grade combination, first grade, and Kindergarten during the four years I was at Tiospaye Topa School in LaPlant, SD. I obtained my Masters degree in Elementary Administration from NSU as well, and moved to Garrison for my first principalship. If your child has started school in Garrison from preschool or kindergarten, I am probably the only principal they know! I am starting on my second generation of students! WOW!
