Attention Elementary Families:
Our World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser is coming to an end this Friday! We have a LOT of chocolate still available for pickup to sell! We need your help in order to make this profitable and support our reading program and student council projects throughout this school year.
Without this fundraiser, we will have fewer monthly and end of year prizes for reading. Stop in to pick up a box (or 5) today!

All,
Mr. Andes's bus just broke down. Given the timing, all students on his route will need to be transported to school by their parents as we do not have anyone who can fill in to assist at this time.

The "Most Extra" Award goes to a teacher who is a detail-oriented planner and a thoughtful team player. This teacher is on top of every deadline and consistently has an optimistic attitude; she takes care of business every day with a high level of composure. This teacher is also skilled in holding her students to a high standard behaviorally and academically, and she works well with them and their families to help them be successful in a caring, solution-focused way. This teacher helps our 6th graders be ready to meet the demands of middle school next year while also honoring where they are today as our oldest elementary students; she makes sure their last year at Bob Callies is challenging but also filled with plenty of time to enjoy being kids. I admire this teacher a ton and feel lucky to count her as a member of our team! Congratulations and way to be awesome, Mrs. Ashley Schatz!

It is a new month, and at Bob Callies Elementary we are trying to bring a school events calendar to you in a printable format. Please note that there may be items to add as the month goes on, so add to it as we go, but this is a starting point! This first week of September is the top row and small boxes in the calendar, as the rest of the weeks fill up with LOTS going on each day! We hope this is helpful!

Congratulations to Ms. Katie Dostert who is the recipient of our first "Most Extra Award" of 2026-27 at Bob Callies Elementary School! Her nomination stated that every day she goes the extra mile-jumping in wherever she's needed and bringing thoughtful, practical ideas to help solve problems, along with plenty of encouragement along the way. Her professionalism and fairness make her someone both students and staff can count on. With students, she's clear and consistent while still being warm and approachable, which helps build trust and respect. She also leads weekly guidance lessons for every grade, supporting students' social, emotional, and academic growth with care and insight. Her dedication, leadership, and genuine kindness make a difference every single day. Thank you for all you do, Ms. Katie Dostert!
