Flasher has canceled school for today so there will be NO games for our HS teams. We are looking for a day to reschedule. Girls will not have practice and the boys are making a decision later on this morning.

All, We have gale-force winds or at least if I were a weather man I'd call them that from the sound of the howling since 1:00 this morning. Don't worry my kids' trampoline did not blow in my neighbor's yard again. The roads do have some scattered snow and ice, so SLOW DOWN this morning. Plan accordingly and allow for extra time to get to school... Yes, we are having school. Speaking of school, dress appropriately for the elements because winter is back! Dr. K.

Students and staff at Bob Callies Elementary learned about Digital Citizenship from Mrs. Jacque Schaible at NDIT-EduTech. This session teaches students how to stay safe, respectful, and responsible online. Students learned about privacy, cyber bullying, media literacy, their digital footprint, AI safety, and how to make positive choices online. Staff learned how to continue to implement the cybersecurity and computer science standards in our school.

Friday's Quad in Flasher has a change in times:
JV Boys And JV Girls will play at 4:00. Girls in the North gym, Boys in the south.
Varsity Boys will play following the JV Girl game(approximately 5:30). Varsity Girls will play after the Varsity boys game (approximately 7:00). Good Luck Troopers!

Happy New Year! We are ready to start 2026 with a fun second semester of the school year! Monday morning our elementary students will be greeted by special local mascot guests! Tuesday we will have PJ day to celebrate National Comfy Day! Stay tuned for more exciting events as first grade guardians Adopt Our School in January!

4th graders participated in the Hour of AI Mix and Move Event from code.org with guest presenter Jacque Schaible from EduTech today. We appreciate these activities and partnerships!

We are ready for the movie day at the KOTA theater tomorrow morning with the K-6 students! Thanks to the hard work of teachers and staff (a few left before we got our photos), we have the treat bags assembled and ready to hand out when students arrive tomorrow morning! Thank you to our partnership with SACA for this tradition!

Attention 7-12 grade students. Garrison Honor Society will be holding their final test review from 12-2. Come to the school and enter at the east entrance, by the flag pole. Please do not enter by the main office, dance will be in the gym for a performance from 12-5. This is your last opportunity to study and prepare for finals. Mrs. Rasch and Ms. Blomquist took 4th and 5th graders to Ft. Stevenson State Park Wednesday for outdoor phy ed classes! We enjoyed the experience and are grateful for our community partners for this opportunity!

All, That old proverb, “Orange skies in the morning, sailors take warning,” immediately came to mind as the sun came up today—and Mother Nature clearly took it as a challenge. Pair that ominous glow with the forecast and… well, here we are. Between the very confused spring/winter precipitation, the incoming snow, and the casual mention of 75 mph winds (because why not?), we will NOT be having school tomorrow, Thursday. All games, practices, and after school activities are cancelled. The storm is expected to linger through lunch, and for the record, this is not a case of me cancelling just so I don’t have to drive bus—turns out I’m not even needed to drive tomorrow. So no conspiracy theories this time. Please stay safe, stay warm, and try not to blow away. Dr. K.

Santa's Workshop was a great success! Thank you to our HS students for the service they provided to our local businesses and our elementary students by selling the items or helping them find the perfect gifts for their families and friends as "personal shoppers." We hope you all enjoy your gifts this holiday season! No peeking!

It's Santa's Workshop day at Bob Callies Elementary School! A variety of businesses have set up storefronts for elementary students to shop for their families and support our local businesses. Our high school students are assisting the businesses and serving as personal shoppers for the younger kids to make this experience magical! Thank you to all who make this happen!

This just in from Bismarck... Conduct of Chapters received Gold - 1st place and will be Competing at National FFA Convention next October. Molly Coble participated in Creee Speaking and received Gold - 2nd place overall Brynn and Molly Jochim competed in Demonstration and placed Silver. We couldn't be more proud of all of you.

All, The bitterly cold temperatures have once again arrived. Thankfully, we didn't get much snow last night; however, we did get enough for it to pair with the wind and start drifting in spots. Garrison Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to serve in a 10-month administrative support role working closely with district and building administration at the high school. This position plays a key part in supporting daily office operations, maintaining effective communication, and assisting with a wide range of administrative tasks that help our schools run smoothly.

Due to a number of new training requirements, we anticipate this position beginning in January to allow for a thorough onboarding and transition period.

The position includes prorated health insurance benefits, participation in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and earned vacation and sick leave. We are looking for someone who brings professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to serving students, staff, and families within our district.
