Attention Class of 2025 Senior Student Athletes!!! On Monday, July 29th, from 4-7, please come to the school to have your picture taken for the upcoming sports program. This is for Seniors only that participate in Football, Basketball, Track, Cross Country, Volleyball, Archery, Golf, Trap, Dance, Cheer, and Baseball. If you are unable to make it, please leave a comment here so we can make arrangements with you to reschedule your picture.

Given the forecast, we will not have a swim workout tomorrow morning. Please report to gym. Next week's swim workout will be on Wednesday at 7:00 am NOT Tuesday due to the elementary football camp.

Unofficial election results are in... Rodger Affeldt, John Kallberg, and Lucas Dusek have received the majority votes. Canvassing of said votes to make it official will be on June 24 at 6:00 pm.

We are pleased to announce the annual election for the Garrison School Board, which will take place on Tuesday, June 11, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Garrison High School. This year, we have three candidates running for the three open positions on the board (two rural and one at-large): Rodger Affeldt, seeking reelection. John Kallberg, running for the position he previously filled during a vacancy. Lucas Dusek, running for the first time. Your participation in this election is crucial for the continued success and governance of our school district. We encourage all eligible community members to come out and vote. Summer weights... For those who would like to do a swim workout, we will be doing one on Tuesday at 7:00 am. Be at the pool ready to go and wear appropriate attire. Coach Folk and Karly will still be in the gym for regular weights if you chose not to do the pool workout. Dr. K.

ND Roughrider “38” Health Promotion Conference “LET THE HEALTH ADVENTURE BEGIN 2024” Several educators and community members from the local area learned how to promote school, community and personal healthy lifestyle concepts at the 38th annual ND Roughrider Health Promotion Conference, May 28 –May 31, 2024 in Medora, North Dakota. Cyndie Behles, Jennifer Rasch, Ashley Schatz, and Shelly Fuller were 4 of the 175 participants registered. Schools and communities from across the state sent representatives to evaluate their school health and community programs and to develop action plans for making improvements. Various sessions offered were based on the components of Coordinated School Health including health education, physical education, health services, nutrition services, counseling, psychological, social services, healthy school environment, health promotion for staff, and family/community involvement. Additional topics included substance use prevention, character education, violence/bullying prevention, chronic disease prevention and professional development. The keynote presenters included: “Jon Lokhorst – “YOUR BEST LEADERSHIP” and Steven Iwersen - “CHAMPIONS IN CHAOS” For more information, please visit www.ndroughrider.com
