At 1:11 today, the High School office received a phone call from an unknown caller stating they were going to shoot up the school. Students were instructed to go shelter in place in both buildings and law enforcement was contacted. Local PD and the Sheriff's Department responded. The case is currently under investigation but appears to be no threat currently as other schools have also received this threat in the state.

On December 15, our Elementary Gym was transformed into Santa's Workshop: a longstanding tradition of over 25 years! Thanks to our local businesses, GHS Honor Society and other student and community volunteers, and particularly Amber Klingbeil, Kaila Behles, and Darlene Ruud, this day of shopping with 17 storefronts in one location was an amazing success!

Thank you to SACA, the KOTA theater, and especially to Greg and Les Korgel for making the annual Christmas movie happen for Bob Callies Elementary students Friday morning! It is a great way to celebrate the end of a successful first semester!

The High School office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday next week for the holidays. The office personnel will be back to work on Wed.
Miss North Dakota Sydney Helgeson visited Bob Callies Elementary School this morning and shared her message about making a positive impact as well as an amazing song with us! We wish her the best as she competes at Miss America in January, and we are proud she represents our state!

Tomorrow Bob Callies Elementary students will be out caroling between 1:45-2:45 pm! Look for us as we strive to spread some cheer by singing loud for all to hear! Please, don't bring us figgy pudding or treats, but join in if you hear a familiar song!
Congratulations to our December Students of the Month, Aidan and Braelynn. Very well deserved.

The American Sign Language class ventured down to the Elementary School this week and taught a few classes how to sign "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." They did a fantastic job and it was such a great opportunity for our students to share all they have learned in their ALS class.
