Here are a few updates regarding games played at the school and fan attendance to our activities. 1. Masks are required per the executive order and our school board. We fully support this because we want our students to be able to participate in activities, opposed to many states who have shut them down. 2. When wearing masks, they should be up over the nose and fully covering your mouth. Our students have been graciously doing this since school began all day every day. I believe we all need to be cognizant of this and do our part to ensure we wear them correctly. Failure to comply, will result in no fans for future games. 3. Regarding our game camera, we do not control this whatsoever. It is completely motion controlled and automated. The small scoreboard from the stage will be relocated on Friday so people can see it. It is the best and most feasible solution we can come up with for the time being. 4. All of our games will be on YouTube and they will start 5 minutes prior to the game and not any sooner do to issues with music in the background that involves copyrights. 5. Live-streaming of away games is done by the host school. Most will have this capability; however, many use different systems to do this. We will attempt to get what they are using to stream the games to all on the day of the game. If they use the NFHS system, you will be required to pay to watch the game and the money will go to the host school. 6. Fan attendance for games is again set by the host school. For our games, each student in the activity will be given 4 tickets for their families and 2 tickets for our opponents’ families. Specifically, for boys’ basketball, if your child is not playing in the game you will need to leave the gym following its completion as we are limited to 150 fans here. We know this is not ideal, but this way we are adhering to the defined parameters. 7. Fan attendance for away games is set by the host school. We have no control over their rules but must adhere to them. The majority of our regional games should be similar regarding fan attendance but can differ pending the school. Most importantly, please follow the mask rules! We want our students to be able to continue to participate. It is about the students’ well-being and not what we as fans think it should be. Lastly, cheer on our fans when they’re participating and be supportive of our students. Have a great day! Dr. K.

Attn: Boy and Girls Basketball Players and Parents: After the Governor allowed teams to practice and games to begin, the Region 5 AD's met via zoom. It was agreed that Region games would allow 150 fans to be in attendance, 100 home fans and 50 visiting fans. All players should have received two region passes to take to all away region games last night. We were notified by Flasher since tomorrow is a double header, Flasher is only allowing each rostered player from Garrison to send one parent. This will allow more Flasher fans to be in attendance. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we must adhere to the home team's protocol. For the Boys and Girls double header in Flasher, each rostered player will be allowed one parent.

A big thank you to our Honor Society students who setup our finals review study day. We had a total of 33 students who came to the High School today from 12-4. Out of those 33, we had 12 students who spent 2 hours or more preparing and we had 15 students who spent all 4 hours at the school. We also had 3 teachers who spent the day helping students. Thank you teachers for your commitment. Hope everyone has a phenomenal Sunday night. Reminder that we only have 7 school days left until a much needed Christmas Break. We will continues to work together and keep everyone here and safe. Thank you

Finals tutoring is on Sunday from 12-4! We will be selling some snacks. We will have Honor Society members and some teachers there to help students with studying. Please come for an hour or all four. Honor Society is excited to help all that show up. Students will be asked to leave if they become a distraction. If you come, please enter at the new entrance. We will be using our new commons areas. Hope to see you tomorrow!!

Quarantine Guidelines Update- Quarantine can end after Day 10 without testing and if no symptoms have been reported during daily monitoring. -With this strategy, residual post-quarantine transmission risk is estimated to be about 1% with an upper limit of about 10%. -When diagnostic testing resources are sufficient and available, then quarantine can end after Day 7 if a diagnostic specimen tests negative and if no symptoms were reported during daily monitoring. The specimen may be collected and tested within 48 hours before the time of planned quarantine discontinuation (e.g., in anticipation of testing delays), but quarantine cannot be discontinued earlier than after Day 7. -With this strategy, the residual post-quarantine transmission risk is estimated to be about 5% with an upper limit of about 12%. In both cases, additional criteria (e.g., continued symptom monitoring and masking through Day 14) must be met and are outlined in the full text with the Department of Health.

We are starting to get caught up from the remodel this past summer. Mr. Osterlund was able to get our Memorial Wall back up and it looks great. More importantly, it’s an excellent tribute to all those on the wall.
