Bob Callies Elementary held the School competition of the 2019-2020 National Geographic GeoBee Monday, Feb. 3, 2020. Rylan Myers (center) took first place, Brady Kinden (left) placed second, and Emmit Lagge (right) placed third. Rylan will advance to the next level of competition, a qualifying test to determine state competitors. If Rylan qualifies, he will attend the ND State GeoBee, held in Bismarck March 27.

Someone you should know... McKenna Mai, GHS Alum, has been graciously volunteering her and therapy dog Kimber’s time at the high school since mid January. Kimber (and McKenna) have been are welcome support to our students. Thank you for all you do for our students.

Dr. K. will be driving a Pep Bus to Max on Thursday for the double header leaving at 5:30 from the GHS Parking Lot. All students in grades 7-12 are can go but must have a signed permission slip to give to Dr. K. when getting on the bus. Permission slips will be provided today.

Illione, Neela & Adam competed in the McLean County Spelling Bee today in Washburn. Adam made the top 5 after the 50-word written round. Congratulations to you all!

Fourth Grader Hannah Beyer won first place in McLean County in the ND “I Voted” sticker contest! Her design will go on to the state competition and could possibly be one of three designs for stickers given to all voters at the polls in North Dakota! Way to go, Hannah!
