Good afternoon high school families. It is that time of year for our mandated spring assessments. On Tuesday and Wednesday we are going to follow a modified block schedule. This scheduling will allow our students a better testing environment. Students will take these assessments in their English, Math, and Science classes. Please encourage your child to do their best on these assessments. These assessments are required by the state. The results from these assessments are what we use to determine our Homeroom/WIN.
On Tuesday March 18 is also Parent Teacher Conferences from 4-8pm. When you come for conferences, please enter using the east doors (by the flag pole).
Thank you for your understanding and have a great day!!

All...
There was freezing rain overnight and the roads are very icy. Please allow for additional time for travel. Buses are running and will likely be late. I'm just leaving and headed west driving the White Shield route. Drive safe.

Garrison Public Schools Announcement
Due to the bitterly cold temperatures, we want to inform families that buses will be running on time tomorrow morning as scheduled. Dr. Klemisch will be driving one of the routes, and Mr. Dangel will be on standby to assist as needed.
Please ensure that your children are dressed appropriately for the extreme cold, including warm coats, hats, gloves, and appropriate footwear. Safety is our top priority, and while we are running buses as usual, we understand that every family’s situation is different. Parents ultimately have the final decision on whether to send their children to school.
Thank you for your cooperation, and please stay safe and warm!
Garrison Public Schools
Next week is FFA week! Elementary students are invited to dress up with the HS!

We had a fun time for Giving Hearts Day! Pie the Principal contest at the elementary was a successful endeavor! The community drive to help Camp of the Cross was all in good fun! We enjoy supporting our community as we appreciate how our community supports our schools!

Fyi... The McLean County Sheriff's Department and some additional departments are conducting some training today at the high school, so when you see a number of additional law enforcement vehicles don't be alarmed.
Thank you!
About seventy 6th-8th grade students competed in the county MathCounts competition in Washburn. Garrison took 14 students and they did awesome!
Kaia Radke placed 1st.
Aiden Schmidt placed 2nd.
Our team of Tristin Jerome, Austin Thelen, Aiden Schmidt, and Aiden Stroe placed 2nd.
Garrison had 7 students in the top 20.
In a few weeks we will find out who advances to the state competition.

Giving Hearts Day Contest: Mrs. Fuller is participating in the Community Giving Hearts Day contest. Elementary Student Council would like to have a classroom contest to see which room will bring the most money. The classroom with the highest contribution TOMORROW (THURSDAY) by 11 AM will have students in a drawing to pie Mrs. Fuller at 12:05 in the elementary cafeteria. All money raised will go to the community contest in Mrs. Fuller's name and she might get another pie in the face at 2:00! If you want to see Mr. Dangel, Dr. Klemisch, or someone else get pied instead, go to the bank before 2 PM and put money in their box! Thanks for the help!

We'd like to extend a special "THANK YOU" to the Delta Waterfowl for their continued support of our trap team. They donated $1,000 to our club.
Our first elementary Schoolwide Title 1/Cognia Planning Meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025 beginning at 3:35 PM in the elementary school library. Thank you for your help in planning for our school for 2025-26 and beyond!
