Basketball Updates! Tonight's JV GBB game has been postponed to a later date. Tomorrow's GBB vs DLB has been postponed to Dec 19th, Time will be announced soon. BBB in Hazen has been postponed to January 10th with games starting at 4:30, 6 and 7:30. Stay tuned for updates as they come in.

All,
Based on the current forecast paired with freezing rain happening just to the south, I believe itâs in our best interests to cancel school tomorrow, Tuesday. A decision regarding Wednesday will come tomorrow as the reports for Wednesday also look like garbage. Teachers have been instructed to provide enrichment opportunities for students that are not a burden to parents. Regarding any storm make up, this is a board decision but I do I believe they will take the enrichment under advisement.
Stay safe and warm!
Dr. K.

We are grateful to have our partnership with Fort Stevenson to allow our students unique opportunities. Today, some fifth and sixth grade students were able to try kick sleds, snow shoes, and fat tire bikes. It was an excellent time!

We have changes in Monday's schedule for our Girls Basketball. The JH game in South Prairie has been canceled. The home game against Solen has been changed from Varsity to a JV game. It is scheduled to start at 6 pm. We will be keeping a constant eye on the weather conditions and will do any updates if games will be postponed. Have a great weekend.

We have the joy of sharing two winter concerts with you on Thursday, December 8, 2022, both at the Garrison High School gym! Our K-6 elementary students will perform at 1:00 PM. Our 7-12 band and choir students have their concert performance at 7:00 PM. We hope you can join us!

Elementary Student Council sent home calendars inviting students to dress up each day in December! Enjoy the challenge!

Our sixth graders have been helping us with keeping our school clean after breakfast! They are doing such a great job taking turns each week. It takes a team to keep things the way we want them in times when we all are in need of additional employees. Our students are taking ownership of the building and are such good role models to our younger students! We are grateful to our custodians for being patient and helping our students learn how to best help as well, rewarding classroom efforts with a traveling âBESTâ banner for clean classrooms!

Congratulations to the students who competed in the Math Track Meet! Evan R. tied for 3rd place in the 9-10 division. In the 11-12 division, Connor S. tied for 4th place, Candela got 2nd place, and as a team they got 3rd place.

Come make an ornament Thursday, Dec. 1 starting at 6:30 in the elementary gym! Family Art Night Invitations were sent home with students. We hope you can attend! There is no charge for this event thanks to our grant!

Well, it may not have been the outcome we wanted, but itâs still an incredible accomplishment to make it to state back-to-back years. We are all proud of you!

Unfortunately, our Lady Troopers fell short against Thompson tonight. This means we will have school all day on Friday. There will be a fan bus to Bismarck that leaves at 3:00. The sign up will come out once I get home tonight.
Thanks.

All,
I still plan on taking the fan bus to Bismarck. If you do not want your child to ride, please call the high school as soon as possible at 701-463-2818 and let Mrs. Osterlund or myself know. For those riding, please make sure you have a winter coat, hat, and gloves.
Thank you.
Dr. K.

All,
Just did my morning drive. Travel speeds are reduced at times due to limited visibility. Also, thereâs some drifting on east west county roads more than the north south. Please allow for extra time for travel this morning as school will start on time. Bus may experience some delays.
Dr. K.

Our Math/Tech Family Engagement Night is set up and ready to begin at 6:00! We have lots of fun devices and staff to help with Microbits, Spheros, Minecraft in Education, and more! Come to the north door for lots of fun!

All,
I'm finally getting caught up from last week's wild ride. Looking ahead to this week, our Lady Troopers are heading to state and play Thursday at 3:00 in Bismarck against Thompson. School will dismiss for everyone at 1:15 to allow all to go to the game. There's fan bus open to anyone wishing to ride free of charge, but you are responsible for game admission. See the link on Facebook or the Live feed. If they win, they will play 1:00 Friday, which means School will dismiss at 11:15 (only if they win Thursday). Some will disagree with my decision to dismiss school, while I understand this, I believe it's important to be present in supporting our students, especially at state given it is usually not a yearly occurrence.
Dr. K.
PS... for those of you wanting the early dismissal Friday, I better see you in the stands Thursday. Our Troopers love a loud crowd!
