Our elementary school had a hallway decorating contest this month! Marian Lehnherr was our guest judge and she had her work cut out for her! Congratulations to our classroom grade level student and staff teams for your collaborative efforts! Our hallways look so festive and fun!

Bob Callies Elementary Student Council members enjoyed some game time today with neighbors at the BLC! We are so grateful for our monthly visits with our friends!

Congratulations to Ms. Miller for receiving our Most Extra staff award today! Mrs. Ekstrom passed it on to her for creating such a fun classroom experience for her students each day! Ms. Miller was excited to receive the recognition from her fellow staff member! Way to go!

Good Morning, with Halloween being this Friday, I am getting this information out. We are you going to allow costumes at the High School. The following are the expectations for costumes: 1. All costumes need to be school appropriate 2. No masks, blood, etc will be allowed 3. If you are using face paint, this must be done outside of school time. Students will not be allowed to use class time to paint their face or others 4. No accessories, such as a wand, sword, knives etc 5. No inflatables Thank you

The JH Football game on Thursday has been canceled. Tonight will be the last game of the season. Please have your son bring his CLEAN uniform and equipment to Mrs. Iglehart's room by Friday so it can be returned to Velva.

This Friday, the sophomore class is hosting an overnight lock-in for grades 7-9. Adult supervision is provided all night (but we would take more volunteers if you are interested). Doors will open at 9pm and lock at 10pm. If your child wants to leave early, we will contact you to pick them up. Once they leave, they will not be allowed back in. Students who choose to sleep will be separated by gender. Pickup is at 7am. Please don't be late as the supervisors will be exhausted at that point. The cost is $10 to get in, this includes breakfast. There will be d drinks, pizza, treats, and hotdogs available to purchase. Any additional questions please contact Mrs Schmidt.

Our very own Mrs. Collette Gehring presented with Dr. Holly Peterson from MSU at the fall leadership conference. We are grateful for her willingness to present to school administrators from across the state. Thank you!!

This past week... Lisa Maki and Chris Seidler were recognized as Veteran School Board members for their dedication to positive student outcomes through effective school board leadership at the North Dakota School Board Association conference. Thank you for your dedication to our students, staff, and district!

Attention High School parents , reminder that parent teacher conferences are at the high school from 4-8. Please use the east door, by the flag pole. Mrs. Osterlund will have your students Quick Look up available for you. Also, there will be a few computers available, if would you be willing to take a 5 minute survey for us. Dr. Klemisch sent this out yesterday, but we will have it available also tonight. Hope to see you all tonight, Mr. Dangel.

⚠️⚠️JH Boys Football has been postponed due to a lack of players from Tioga. The game will now be on October 23rd at 5 in Velva. The boys will go to practice today, and be done at 5:15. The bus will leave at 2:50 and return once practice is done. ⚠️⚠️

Bob Callies Elementary students: please note the change in the weather for this week! Dressing in layers is always a good idea for ND fall weather, as the morning can be different from the afternoon! Bring a jacket or sweatshirt, and long pants are suggested. We will continue to go outside and we don't want you to be cold!
