Mr Gehring volunteered his Outdoor Activities class to help stock shelves at the Garrison Area Resource Center. Students had the opportunity to help this in need and give back to the community. Great job Mr Gehring and students. Well Done and Thank You

We have updated our Hybrid Learning Plan based on the Governor's announcement yesterday and after we met with the Department of Health this morning. The level in which we are at specific to COVID, will now be determined at the county level. However, if we have zero active cases or a manageable number of cases, we may elect to go to hybrid learning. These updated changes are now in both the Hybrid Learning Plan and our Safety Plan. We are hopeful we are able to make these determinations locally, since county numbers have an immense variability. However, this piece has yet to be determined by the state and we are waiting on further guidance.

Dr. K. here with a couple things... 1. Thank you everyone with your continued flexibility, as we are in uncharted territory. 2. We have amazing students! I couldn’t be more proud of them. 3. We have an amazing staff who go above and beyond! 4. Huge shout out to our maintenance staff for all their hard work this summer. Our buildings look incredible! Since we are not able to have an open house at this time, I’m sharing some pictures of the remodel. Please note, the same flooring, paint, and lighting is the same throughout both buildings. Our remodeling in both buildings is at about 95% completion with some small things still needing to be addressed. However, I will say our buildings sure do clean up nice! I can’t wait for the time for our community to get a chance to see it in person.

Happy Friday! It is House Shirt Color Day! Wear your House shirt/color! Parents of elementary students, please note that we need you to arrive no earlier than 8:10 unless you signed up for Early Bird this year. You can sign up with Mrs. Fuller but space is limited due to social distancing requirements. We will have you wait outside if you did not register for Early Bird and arrive before 8:10. Thanks for your help! We had a great first day yesterday! Today will be even better! Remember to check folders, Reminds, and especially the website for information. Call us with questions you might have!

Good evening GHS students and parents. We are a little over 24 hours before the first day of school. Teachers and administrators are working to kick off the 2020-2021 school year on the right foot. Here are a few points to keep in mind: 1. All students grade 7-12 will meet at 8:30 for class meetings. Students will get planners, Chromebooks, and go over some new procedures at the HS. 7th grade students will meet in Rm 8, 8th grade in Rm 10, 9th grade in Rm 1, 10th grade in the music room, 11th grade in Rm 11b, and 12th grade in Rm 13. 2. There will be no opens for 10-12 on Thursday and Friday. This allows us 2 days to ensure schedules are accurate. Those students will have the opportunity to use our new commons area. 3. We will enter and exit the HS in the following way. Buses will drop off and pick up at the East door (the old main door) and everyone else, walkers, bike riders, drivers, and those being dropped off by parents, will enter and exit by the west door. Our entire staff is excited for the new year and can’t wait to see everyone on Thursday. Have a phenomenal night, Mr. Dangel

We are excited to have our House groups in our schools again this year! We plan to have House Color Days each Wednesday, and would like our K-12 students and staff to dress in House shirts/colors on August 21. We provided the first House shirt to our students last year, and will give our new students this year their first shirt as well! Families who are interested in purchasing a new or multiple House shirts for their students may do so from the Ron Clark Academy Store at https://store.ronclarkacademy.com/collections/tshirts.

Reminders... All students need at least three masks as part of their school supplies for this school year and must have them at school. Social distancing rules will be adhered to following guidance from the CDC. Any person coming to our schools will be required to wear a mask other than students and staff being encouraged to wear them. For all activities, all viewers will be required to wear a mask. School will start on August 20, which is a change noted previously. Lastly, all BSN clothing orders need to be submitted by August 17. On a complete different not.... please bear in mind we are all adapting to these changes and change is also happening frequently. We all need to continue to be flexible and know there are many variables being our control. This will be a great year!
