This year, we have three candidates running for the three open positions on the board (two rural and one at-large):

ND Roughrider “38” Health Promotion Conference
“LET THE HEALTH ADVENTURE BEGIN 2024”
Several educators and community members from the local area learned how to promote school, community and personal healthy lifestyle concepts at the 38th annual ND Roughrider Health Promotion Conference, May 28 –May 31, 2024 in Medora, North Dakota.
Cyndie Behles, Jennifer Rasch, Ashley Schatz, and Shelly Fuller were 4 of the 175 participants registered. Schools and communities from across the state sent representatives to evaluate their school health and community programs and to develop action plans for making improvements. Various sessions offered were based on the components of Coordinated School Health including health education, physical education, health services, nutrition services, counseling, psychological, social services, healthy school environment, health promotion for staff, and family/community involvement. Additional topics included substance use prevention, character education, violence/bullying prevention, chronic disease prevention and professional development.
The keynote presenters included:
“Jon Lokhorst – “YOUR BEST LEADERSHIP”
and
Steven Iwersen - “CHAMPIONS IN CHAOS”

Elementary students... The Aggie's elementary football camp is June 24/25 in Velva. Mark your calendars. When the sign up becomes available from Coach Weidler it will be shared. Dr. K. will be running a bus to and from for this.
Garrison Archery shooters, coaches, and parents want to thank all the generous sponsors and everyone who donated silently auction items. We wouldn't have been able to make the trip to Nationals without all of you!!! We greatly appreciate everyone who made the spaghetti supper successful.

There will be an informational and/or signup night for any 9-10th grader interested in Close-up 2026. The meeting will take place in the commons at the HS on Wed night at 6:00pm. Tomorrow- JV will be in Velva. Game will start at 3:30 instead of 4. Varsity is at home vs South Prairie/Max. This game will start at 4:00.
