Finished up day 2. Students had the opportunity to go through the Smithsonian's and the Holocaust Museum. The Holocaust Museum was a hit. Students spent the night with Close-up going over daily topics!! I will try to keep you posted.

Day 1 of our Close-Up experience was a blast and a blur. We began our day with a 3am departure from the HS. Left Bismarck on the 6am flight and arrived in Baltimore at 2:00 pm local time. Had a chance to fly over the Francis Scott Key bridge. After a 70-90 minute bus drive, total of 31 miles, we arrived at our hotel. Dropped our stuff off and then we took off to sightsee. Day 2 will bring us to the Smithsonian's and the Holocaust Museum!!

We are excited for our experience with the Missoula Children's Theater, beginning Monday!
Tryouts are at 3:45 at the auditorium!

Families: we are excited about the upcoming solar eclipse on Monday and have ordered glasses for our students to use to safely view the event. Our teachers have shared information and enjoyed some art projects with our students as well to prepare them for the day. We are not in the path of totality, and the timing for our area is after lunch recesses are finished. We plan to have activities as usual throughout the day. If you are not comfortable with your child going outside during recess or to view the partial solar eclipse with their classes, please contact the school office. Thank you!
