Elementary School Picture Retakes are Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 8:00-11:30 AM in the elementary gym. If a student missed picture day in August, they will have their pictures taken. Preschoolers who are not in school on Thursday morning and did not have their pictures taken are asked to come to have their photos done at this time. Our Sixth Graders had a fun day at Audubon Refuge for Eco Ed Day!

Elementary Families:
Tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 6, 2023) is our Vehicle Fair! We will be outdoors for 1 hour in the afternoon. Please dress your students appropriately for the weather.
Also, please send your children in clothing appropriate for our changing weather each day. Layers are good! We typically go outside for 1/2 hour recess each day, and students can get cold if they are not wearing sweatshirts/jackets or long pants this time of year. Thank you for your help!

When it comes to mental health, it's never too early to teach your children how to take care of themselves, and it's never too late to start a conversation with your teen. Check out these resources to help support your child's mental health. All Bob Callies elementary students receive weekly social emotional learning lessons from our school counseling. These lessons teach our children valuable skills to help them develop healthy relationships, succeed academically, and improve their own mental health. This month, our counselors are collaborating in providing resources to help you keep the conversations about mental health going at home for any ages PreK-Grade12. When students see all adults in their life talking comfortably and positively about mental health, they will recognize it as an important part of their own health. Starting early with regular conversations about recognizing and managing emotions will help your whole family prioritize taking care of their mental health, and it gives family members the tools to support each others' mental health, too.

Bob Callies Elementary School Annual Fundraiser begins Friday! We’ve partnered with Believe Kids Fundraising to raise money for Reading Counts and our Elementary Student Council projects and activities. You can now check out
the available products and set up your dashboard to share with family & friends anywhere nationwide at
www.FundPrizes.com. Pay online or Text-to-pay options available + ship-to-home for customers! Your fundraising packet will be coming home Friday. Please make note to check your K-6th grade student’s backpack! Remember that checks are made out to Garrison Public Schools, and we will only order what is paid for at time of submission of orders. It is not required to participate in the fundraiser, but we appreciate your help as these funds pay for our reading incentives, field trips, annual movie before our winter break, and so much more! The Garrison Athletics YouTube channel is free, will not require you to have an account, to sign in, or to submit a credit card.
Spammers will always post in the comments, will require you to submit a credit card or give them access to hack into your personal accounts. We try to stay on top of deleting these spam comments but sometimes we may miss them.
Please be aware of this, as they are relentless.
