Tomorrow's game against DL-B has a time change. JV will start at 5 and Varsity will start at 6:30. There is NO C Squad game. Game is in Des Lacs.

We have some very talented artists in Mrs. Sayler's ITV art class. Always fun to see what these young minds create.

4th grade students are wearing T-shirts made by Brooklyn S and family today to celebrate CHD Awareness week! This is an awareness week near and dear to our ❤️ because of our classmate and friend Kez S!

Happy School Counselor Week, Mrs. Ruud! You are so loved!

Congratulations! Gavin S passed Grade 4 standards in DreamBox Math! Way to go!

Elementary Families: We request that you make your plans with your child(ren) before they arrive at school each day and limit the number of calls to the school to last minute emergency changes rather than every day calls. These calls often come in at our busiest time in the office and classrooms, as we pack up and try to ensure that every student goes where they are supposed to, and we don't want to mistakenly send a child to an unsupervised location because of a missed message. Likewise, we need these calls to come to the office at 463-2213 by 2:30 PM if possible, not to individual teachers' Remind texts, as many times teachers are out or busy teaching and may miss the message until it is too late. If your child will be out of school for any reason, you should call the office at 463-2213. Thank you for helping us with these issues!

This week is National School Counseling week. We'd like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Ruud for her willingness to be our school counselor. She's currently working on another master's degree to be our school counselor. She has tremendous dedication to our students and students and staff. Additionally, Deputy Kamp works in conjunction with our counselor in proactive manner to serve our students. We are immensely appreciative of both individuals! Lastly, next year we will be adding to our counseling staff by adding another full-time counselor, Mrs. Hansen. She will serve the elementary school, Mrs. Ruud will be at the high school, and Deputy Kamp will be in both buildings. Please extend a warm thank you to these individuals if you see them!

Several 6th graders enjoyed a sweet treat to celebrate their reading accomplishments and cash in their certificates from our local Dairy Queen last week! We appreciate our local business sponsors!

We’d like to extend a special congratulations to Mrs. Fuller. She was selected as Region 7 Principal of the Year and recognized as a finalist to represent our state as a National Distinguished Principal Candidate 2022.

DreamBox Math : Grant L has met all of his 4th grade standards and is well on his way with 5th grade standards! Way to go!

Congratulations to Connor for being named to the Sports Honor Roll. Connor earned this honor for his efforts versus Washburn. Here is a link to the story: https://youtu.be/wHZB1mXZuvs

Our Food Pantry drive was a success! We collected 217 items to donate and will tabulate the weight when we take it to the pantry! Little by little, we make a big difference.

PS no spelling bee today and students should arrive no earlier than 9:45 to school.

Visibility on roadways is surprisingly good this morning. However, due to the extremely high winds and several county/gravel roads being glare ice, we will not have morning buses. The highway conditions are actually not real bad other than the wind. In addition, the school start time today is delayed and we will start school at 10:00 am with staff reporting at 9:30 am (please notice the times). There will be no early bird or breakfast this morning. Wind speeds are supposed to reduce this afternoon. Buses will run where possible. If your gravel road is still extremely icy this afternoon, please contact your driver for travel arrangements or call the school. As always, it will be at the driver’s discretion if they choose to travel select roadways. Travel safe!

Happy 100th Day of School!
More pictures will be posted on our Facebook page!

Over past 4 years, the schools have completed over $5 million dollars in improvements via numerous grants and a loan against our building fund. The purpose of this survey is to garner input from the community in order to assist in providing a direction to the board in possible next steps for our district's needs. Please note, none of the options have been formally discussed by the board. This survey is intended for the community to provide input.

School will start on time today, but please allow for extra time for travel as driving speeds are reduced in some areas. Plows have gone out both east and west of Garrison as of 5:15 this morning. Please contact your bus driver or call Mrs. Chase (701-463-2818) if your road is plugged with snow. Bear in mind, it’s the driver’s discretion if they go down any road. Drive safe. Thank you.

Dr. K. here….
I’ve received some reports of blocked roads due to snow. Also, main roadways are very icy. I will be out at 5:15 am to do some further checking. If your road is plugged with snow, please contact your driver or call Mrs. Chase at 463-2818 at 6:00 am Thursday morning. If we are delayed, I will send an alert through the notification system by 6:00 am.
Thank you.

A big thank you to Spencer Seidler who came in and demonstrated how to cut a Sirloin. Mrs. Reimers class is in the Meats trailer. Spencer also demonstrated how to wrap the steak after.
